Pricing
Both sides of it, with the arithmetic worked out — including the case that costs you something and returns nobody.
The short version
Subscribing is free. It stays free.
Posting costs $2.00 a search, plus $0.10 for each person actually reached.
If you are here to listen
Creating, editing and holding alerts costs nothing — however many you have, however long they run. There is no tier above free and no point at which this turns out to have been a trial. A table comparing one plan against nothing would imply a complexity that is not there, so there isn't one.
If you are here to reach people
- $2.00 per search
- Charged when the search runs, whether it finds five hundred people or nobody. It pays for the matching itself, which happened either way.
- $0.10 per person reached
- Charged only for a message that actually arrives. Anyone it does not reach is not billed, and is refunded automatically if the send fails partway.
What that comes to
| A run that reaches | Search | People | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 people | $2.00 | $0.00 | $2.00 |
| 12 people | $2.00 | $1.20 | $3.20 |
| 63 people | $2.00 | $6.30 | $8.30 |
| 100 people | $2.00 | $10.00 | $12.00 |
The first row is the one worth reading twice. A search that matches nobody still costs $2.00, because the search ran. It is on this page, above the button, rather than in the refund policy afterwards.
You are told the ceiling first
Every broadcast carries a cap on how many people one run may reach, and the composer quotes the most that run could possibly cost before you commit to it. Nothing here runs on credit and nothing bills you afterwards.
The cap you may set depends on how long the account has been sending cleanly: new reaches 10, established reaches 100, trusted reaches 500. That is a reach limit, not a price — the per-person rate is the same at every tier.
If your balance falls short
The search fee is what your balance has to cover for a run to begin. If the delivery then comes to more than you are holding, the run waits rather than going out to whoever the balance stretched to — a part-sent broadcast is not something you can take back.
It holds for 14 days and tells you it is waiting. Top up and it goes; leave it and it expires, and the search fee is not returned, because the search had already run.
Repeating a broadcast
A run can be repeated later against people who have joined since. Bought singly, a refresh costs the same as any search. Bought 5 at a time it costs $7.00 — $1.40 each.
A broadcast set to refresh itself weekly costs $6.00 a week, and that replaces the $2.00 search fee on those runs rather than sitting on top of it. Everyone those runs reach still costs $0.10, the same as any other send.
Refunds, in one paragraph
The $2.00 search fee is not refunded when the search ran — it paid for work that happened, whoever it found. If the search itself fails, that fee comes back. The $0.10 per person is refunded automatically for anybody the message did not reach. The full policy covers the cases either side of that line.
Free unless you broadcast. You are not asked for a card to sign up.
