How it works in 3 simple steps
-
1
Write what you want in plain words
Describe what you care about just like you would explain it to a friend. No confusing search operators, boolean logic, or keyword tags needed.
-
2
We match the meaning, not just words
When a verified broadcaster sends an announcement, our AI compares the true meaning. If a landlord says 'flat' and you wrote 'apartment', it still matches.
-
3
Delivered privately to your inbox
Whenever a genuine match occurs, you get an email. The broadcaster never sees your personal email or identity, and if nothing matches, your inbox stays quiet.
The sweep itself belongs to nobody on either side — MeaningfulAlerts runs it, checking in both directions at once, so a broadcaster never gets a live look at subscriber criteria and a subscriber never gets a live look at incoming messages. Only a genuine match ever crosses.
Why meaning-based matching works so much better
“flat Kilimani 2 bedroom”
Only catches posts using those exact words. If a landlord writes “apartment near Yaya” or “2BR in Kileleshwa,” you miss it entirely. The search cannot read between the lines.
Problem: Brittle, misses relevant announcements, fills your inbox with noise.
“Notify me about a 2-bedroom flat in or near Kilimani for under KES 80,000 a month”
Understands the size, neighbourhood, and budget. Matches landlords who write “apartment,” “2BR,” or “self-contained,” wherever they describe the same thing you need.
Result: High accuracy, zero wasted time, and only notifications that actually matter.
Your privacy is guaranteed
Broadcasters never see who you are.
When you set an alert, you are never listed in a public directory. Broadcasters pay to send announcements to matching descriptions — they never see your email, name, or location.
Masked Email Relay
Broadcasters reach your criteria, never your address. If you choose to reply, communication routes through a private relay so your real email is never exposed.
Guaranteed Peace
No matches means zero emails. Having active alerts is completely free forever, whether an announcement arrives tomorrow or a year from now.
Any Region You Choose
Limit your alert to a specific city or country, or leave it open globally. Geographic limits are strictly honored.
Where it differs
Google Alerts
Google Alerts scrapes public web pages for exact word matches. MeaningfulAlerts matches private broadcasts against your personal criteria without publishing anything to the open web.
Classifieds & Boards
Job boards and classifieds require you to actively search and scroll every day. Here, you never have to check a feed — matches arrive straight to your inbox.
Email Newsletters
Newsletters send recurring generic digests on fixed weekly schedules. MeaningfulAlerts only sends a message when a real, time-sensitive event matches your exact sentence.
There is a name for what's actually happening: blindwarm outreach. Cold in relationship — the broadcaster has never met you and never will unless you reply. Warm in consent — not a blanket "yes, email me," but a specific alert you wrote yourself, for exactly this.
Real alerts from our community
“Alert me when a 2-bedroom apartment becomes available in Kilimani or Lavington, Nairobi, under KES 80,000/month, with parking.”
“Notify me about harambees or welfare fundraisers organized by anyone from Kisii County, especially for education or emergency causes.”
For Broadcasters
Reach an audience that asked to hear from you.
Need to announce a job opening, a home for rent, or an important community update? Stop wasting money on blind social ads or spammy cold emails. Broadcast to people whose verified alerts match your announcement. Preview your exact match count for free before spending a single dollar.
Three things people ask before they trust it
Will I get spammed?
Each alert has its own weekly ceiling — 2 by default, and yours to set. A broadcaster pays $0.10 for every person they reach, so broad, hopeful blasts cost them money and get them nowhere.
Does a broadcaster see me?
No. They pay to reach a description, never a person. Replies route through us in both directions, so neither side learns the other's address unless you say it yourself.
What if nothing ever matches?
You'll be told. A weekly digest counts the broadcasts you qualified for but narrowly missed — so silence means silence, not an alert quietly failing.
Tell us once. We'll let you know when it happens.
Never spend another afternoon refreshing message boards, classifieds, or social feeds. Describe what you care about in one sentence. If nothing matches, you pay nothing and hear nothing.
